Dr. Donald Miller wins Career Achievement in Research award

Dr. Donald Miller, a medical oncologist at the UofL Health - Brown Cancer Center, won the Career Achievement in Research Award at the University of Louisville School of Medicine Faculty Awards on Tuesday, November 30th. Dr. Miller is a Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology and Hematology.

He has been awarded numerous honors in his career including Scholar for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Founders Medal from Southern Society of Clinical Investigators, Mint Jubilee Lifetime Achievement Award and the Excalibur Award from the American Cancer Society. 

Dr. Miller served as Director for the Brown Cancer Center from 1999 to 2017 after previously serving as Deputy Director of the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center from 1995-1999. He has published over 200 research articles in many to tier journals including Cell, New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Clinical Investigations, Biochemistry and Oncogene.

He has been apart of over 20 federal grants and PI on more than 20 clinical trials with funds exceeding $20 million.
